An IC works towards the respectful and empowered creation of any intimate content for stage and screen. Our role is to collaborate with directors, actors, and production to ensure scenes involving physical or emotional vulnerability are handled with care, clarity, and creativity. Whether a scene calls for nudity, simulated sex, romantic gestures, or emotionally intense connection, our goal is to make sure all parties feel informed, supported, and safe, and without compromising artistic vision.
Services are flexible and scalable, and may include:
Reviewing scripts for moments of intimacy, nudity, or emotional vulnerability
Offering consent-based processes to guide rehearsal and performance
Facilitating open, respectful conversations between actors and directors
Helping develop choreography and scene structure that feels safe and authentic
Creating production-specific guidelines and protocols
Supporting scenes on set with supervision, advocacy, and coordination
Providing post-scene debriefs, notes, and feedback if required
I (she/her) am a certified Intimacy Coordinator with a deep background of 11 years of storytelling through film and TV.
Having started my career as a Makeup Artist meant I worked very closely with actors where I always found myself as an advocate on set before Intimacy Coordinating was a role, so it was only natural that I was drawn to this.
I’m especially passionate about supporting queer narratives, culturally diverse casting, and creating emotionally and warm environments where performers can explore intimate work without pressure or confusion. My approach is safe, supportive, collaborative and always tailored to the tone and needs of the performers and production.
My certification with IPA put me in the growing community of ICs working to embed consent-based practices across the industry.
I’m based between Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa and Sydney, Australia.
"Christina is warm, competent, and deeply attuned to story. She effortlessly balances creating an environment grounded in clear process and open communication, while keeping the needs of the story at the centre of her approach.
She is a creative collaborator, a story champion, and a powerful advocate for safe, ethical, and emotionally authentic storytelling." - Angela Cudd, Director
“Christina brought a calm, confident presence to the production from the moment she stepped in. In both rehearsals and on set, she guided my scene partner and I through discussions about our boundaries and where we felt comfortable, giving us complete autonomy and ability to vocalise our thoughts, feelings and concerns.
She acted as an advocate for me in terms of my own personal boundaries and liaised professionally with the production team to keep me safe and feeling confident and comfortable in intimate scenes and scenes involving perceived nudity.
Her years of on-set experience, a natural affinity with actors, plus a creative eye for direction means that she genuinely improved the intimate scenes of the production, making the actors and crew proud of the final result.
I would highly recommend Christina as an intimacy co-ordinator for any future production.” - Adele Pascoe, Actor
"I loved the shape of the scenes we created in rehearsal, wish all scenes could be like that.
Being on set was super breezy once we rehearsed that first kiss, felt really comfortable after that one set!"
- Tāne Poutu, Actor
